A full day ceremonial sharing circle in the woods. We will sit in circle together, held by the land, and we will listen to ourselves and each other, in a way that matters, using the Way of Council.
Do you long to share your truth, and to be listened to in a way that matters?
Do you yearn to be heard, and for deeper connections?
On this full day in the woods we will sit in circle together, held by the land, and we will listen.
This ancient practice, called Council, is a chance to take a spacious dive into yourself, and to speak from the heart, as part of your interconnection with all things.
Council is all about speaking and listening from the heart. It's about empathy and honesty, a means of opening to heartfelt compassion and non-judgemental acceptance of how and who and where people are.
Supported by our guide, you will be encouraged to listen to yourself in a way that matters, and to listen to others in the same way.
Your sharing and your listening will be informed by the depth of connection you have with your truth, and the environment you'll be in – the woods, the earth, the other-than-human world.
The form we will follow is The Way of Council – an ancient model developed from indigenous cultures, mainly native American, that includes using a talking stick to create safety, giving you space to share your truth, from the heart.
(Read more about the Way of Council here.)
There will also be opportunities for solo time in order for your listening and your connection with the trees, plants and rocks to inspire more reflection for the circle.
This full day session is being facilitated by Wilderness Guide and Ceremonialist, Rebecca Card.
